Amazing delicious food!! BBQ smell from the dry seasoning rub reminded of the food we had in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Plov was made fresh so we had to wait. Tandir samsa was not yet ready so we had the regular samsa which was also not bad. This Uzbeki place stands out amongst the others in Chicagoland. We had limited time during the lunch hour so couldn’t try more items. Def coming back to try the other items like Mastava soup and the fruit teas. Servers and staff are friendly. Place is large and clean. Friendly bird chirping in the background. Place to pray. There was no wait at 12 pm.
This has become my husband’s favorite restaurant in Naperville. He is a huge meat lover. The skewers are cooked perfect and I love the lamb ribs as it has more fat as it become more chewy. The plov is the best I had so far in the area. The texture is well mixed with the oil. There is a small grocery store as well. The lamb quality is really good. We will be back!!
Even though I am Kazakh I love Uzbek food. This was my time coming to Shahirizada Restaurant. I ordered “Qovurma Lag’mon” which was good but it was a bit salty and dry. I feel like the egg was unnecessary there. Everything was good but nothing was complimentary. At least tea has to be free don’t you think? They charged me extra dollar for lemon in my tea and they didn’t even add a lemon. And the waitress was keep flirting with other male waitresses and it was a bit unpleasant atmosphere. I can’t even have privacy. While I was slurping up my “Lag’man” there was dude in front of me who was watching me without no shame. The way everyone stares at you eating is a bit embarrassing. Also I called waitress multiple times but he was too busy flirting with that woman who spoke Russian she had dark brown hair and they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other, it’s super inappropriate! Finally after exactly 5 minutes he came with my check what took him so long? Anyway I would definitely recommend this store to change their sitting positions and give some privacy for couples or family to enjoy their food in peace and thank you!
This restaurant specialising in authentic halal Uzbek cuisine. Cozy decor with Uzbek music and large screens displaying images of Uzbekistan. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff (We had Pnar as a waitress 🥰). Delicious food. No alcohol but they have delicious homemade juice 🥤. I definitely recommend this restaurant👍🏻.
We were at this restaurant multiple times and never got disappointed. Food, staff and overall experience were amazing. We will be here again and recommend for anyone looking for a unique cuisine from Uzbekistan.
