I have been to Rick’s through the years with no complaints. I don't like to write bad reviews for local businesses but everytime I look at my hair after a highlight I get upset. My hair is salt and pepper and I asked for gray highlights to help blend the transition. I don't recall the hairstlusts name. She didn't color check my hair before mixing the highlights. I ended up with blonde streaks instead of gray. She flat ironed my hair and fried some areas. So disappointed. Won't be back.
I came to Rick’s on a whim during vacation. And when I come back down, I will be coming in to see Nicole! I walked out, feeling taken care of and listen to, my hair looked fantastic! I will also say that not every place makes you feel so welcomed, knowing that you’re just probably a one time flyby customer and she did as well as the rest of the staff. So if you are on vacation or if you might be a resident and you need to feel good and look good I highly recommend this place.
Men's haircuts are very good but lets face it, it's just a haircut. When I started going here about 8 years ago it was $28 for a men's cut. It's now .... $48.... for a 20 minute haircut! Are we supposed to add more for a tip? I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Lots of other options out there that are just as good but far less costly. Bye bye Rick's
Spent nearly $660 for a 4-hour spa day that was rushed into 3 hours. They were understaffed and this was a booked appointment a month in advance. If you dont have the staff, call the customer and let them know. DON'T RUSH THEM! Massage and facial were fine, but my nails peeled quickly, and my hair updo was a disaster that I had to redo myself before my wedding that evening. For the price, this was not worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it. My response to the owner: Thank you for your response. To clarify, my review was not about the number of services provided or your community involvement, but about the overall quality of the experience that day. While I did express gratitude at the time, that does not change the fact that there were issues that left me disappointed afterward. Reviews are intended to reflect genuine customer experiences, and mine was shared honestly and in that spirit. Constructive feedback should be seen as an opportunity for growth and improvement, not something to respond defensively. In my case, my nails began peeling almost immediately, my hair pins popped out within hours and I had to spend time fixing it myself, and I was even asked to lay face-down on a tray so a braid could be done — which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Most concerning, it was very clear that there was little care or attention given, and the stylist especially made me feel like I was being rushed out the door. These are not minor details, and they are the reasons I left the review. My hope is that you look closer at the issues I had an make it to where no one else on their wedding day feels the way I felt.
I try to always do a spa day while on vacation. I stayed at the Hilton but they didn't offer all of the services I wanted. This place was wonderful! I got a massage, facial and a haircut. It is very clean, updated and everyone was very professional and great at their art. My favorite was the facial. My skin felt and looked beautiful afterwards. So glad I chose to go here. I would definitely recommend Rick's to anyone.
