Reviews
A classic Hollywood experience. I ordered the onion soup and the filet mignon with a baked potato—everything was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly and the soup was rich and flavorful. The waiters were very well trained and professional, which made the service feel polished and attentive. The interior design is old and magnificent, giving the restaurant a timeless atmosphere that really adds to the experience. The complimentary bread and butter were also good, although the bread could have been a bit fresher. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and a great place to enjoy a classic meal on Hollywood Boulevard.
Went here with a work party and so happy that we did. It was very surprising. Cool place that’s been around forever. It was neat to hear the history and legacy of this restaurant. Our server was Luis. He’s been there 14 years! The food was actually better than expected. Im not a wine connoisseur but I do know good from bad and thought the Musso and Frank wine was pretty good. The place is dark, it’s part of the charm and ambience. You do need to dress up a little bit. No hats! And wear a collard shirt. I got the short rib special and dang happy with that choice. Everyone said their dish was great. Good quality food at decent prices. Happy we got to experience this place.
Musso & Franks Grill is a world class dining experience. My wife and I are locals and came out celebrating our daughter that is about to be born. Thankfully, despite having no reservation, we were able to snag comfortable bar seats at opening (the bar seats have a back and are comfortable!). Then, I was able to have a perfect martini with sidecar (good on you Musso & Franks). My wife had a lovely Mocktail. And then we enjoyed their delicious bread and some olives/cheese. The entrees were amazing. I had the Ribeye and my wife the Salmon with us sharing the Gratin Potatoes. All delicious! The second dirty martini with blue cheese olives was even better than the first. Overall, what sealed the night for us was the kindness of Robert who took care of us. We enjoyed our conversation. And we were thankful for his and Musso & Franks graciousness of the free desert. We weren’t expecting it at all and were touched. It’s not often where you get to eat at an LA historical landmark, a place rooted in good food, and encounter a staff that saw us beyond just customers. Thank you Musso & Franks. Never change.
Outstanding old style, fine dining with out of this world food taste and quality. We’ve visiting this place every time we visit LA and for many years the quality is outstanding. This time we ordered beef tartare and salmon tartare for appetizers, scallops and sand dubs for the entree. Tartare were super fresh with homemade chips. Scallops were tender, while sand dubs were full of taste and done right. Will definitely get back.
Respect and patience showed starting from the front door. Selection of wines tells everybody that good wine do not have to be expensive. We came not for meat as most of the guests.I had fish that make me very satisfied with my choice. Thank you, chief! Dessert-as good as main dishes. Asparagus should be shorter, as lower part not chewable. Great service and dishes.
