Marco Prime delivered a superb dining experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was polished yet welcoming, and the amenities made the evening feel truly special. The Wagyu steak was off the chart — perfectly prepared, flavorful, and absolutely worth it. My sea bass was fresh and beautifully cooked. The portions were generous for most of us, though my fitness-focused husband (who can out-eat just about anyone) would have loved an even larger serving. Overall, everyone at the table loved their meals, and the attentive, professional service really set Marco Prime apart. A fantastic choice for a great night out on Marco Island. We will definitely be back.
We ate here twice during our visit and both times were very good. The bone in NY Strip and filet were very good. They changed their menu from last year, which forced me to try different drinks and apps. Everything was wonderful, and the service was great. Great atmosphere. This same family also owns Snook Inn, DaVinci's. The Oyster Society, and Marco Prime. I cannot speak highly enough for all of their restaurants, every one has its own specialty and is terrific.
Each winter my wife and I escape the frigid north for Marco Island. This was our eighth consecutive annual visit and an especially meaningful one, with our 55th anniversary this June. Marco Prime has always been our go to Valentine’s Day spot for ambiance, great service, and excellent food. This year was very different. For Valentine’s, we were given a fixed menu that eliminated longtime favorites, including the 10 oz filet and their New York–style cheesecake. We settled for steak frites at $140 per person. The steaks were gristly and underwhelming, and their usually exquisite beef carpaccio looked and tasted more like a chopped salad in a retirement home. When a manager checked on us and I calmly explained our disappointment, his response was, “But sir, our beef carpaccio is Wagyu,” which did nothing to address the real issue. A co owner then came by, was empathetic, and asked, “How can I make this right?” In a lighthearted way I said a slice of their award winning cheesecake would be wonderful. He promised, “I’ll make that happen.” We pushed aside our half eaten steaks and waited. Ten minutes later, our (excellent!) server informed us there was no cheesecake that night after all. For a bill north of $500 (which included our customary 25% tip) on a special occasion, that combination of poor food, tone deaf management, and unfulfilled promises made the evening a real disappointment. For contrast, the other Marco Walk Plaza restaurants we visited that week—Oyster Society, DaVinci’s, Nacho Mama’s, and The Salty Dog—were all excellent. Sadly, Marco Prime has lost our business. A celebrity cruise meal at Viking cruise prices. As a postscript, our son lives in Naples, and his dog Murphy ultimately enjoyed our leftover steak frites without complaint. Unfortunately, “Murphy loved it” is not the standard we use when deciding where to enjoy a special Valentine’s dinner.
What a wonderful experience from start to finish! The service was beyond perfect. Gino, our waiter was attentive and every recommendation he made was spot on. We will definitely request his table when we come back! We had the bone in tomahawk prime rib. It was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. They make the best drinks and the best Espresso Martini in Florida. It was a fun, relaxing dining experience! Well done, Gina! You made our night!
Wow wow wow. May be the best happy hour in Marco Island! Get there early (eg the line starts well before 4:30pm). Get a spot at the bar and get the great service from Shelby, Carlos and Martin! After a Zen and tonic, dive into the 1/2 lobster, shrimp, sliders, and beef carpaccio! All so delicious….and at reasonable prices. If you miss the happy hour, go inside for a simply fabulous upscale dining experience! VictorB
