Stumbled in by happenstance and boy were we glad we did! A truly impressive bakery for all things sugary and delectable. It’s to-go only. Donuts, croissants, fried delectables and more. The poi glazed stood out. The cinnamon roll was also a star, however none of the bakery items were a miss. All good!!
Absolutely delicious poi donut—if you get one thing from here, get it. Also got the cream cheese cinnamon donut topped with nuts (essentially a cinnamon roll with nuts but with a donut base). That was massive, very sweet, and very filling. The inside can get kind of cramped with a long line but I’d say it’s worth it.
Local donut shop, with no frills but tons of great options. I’m a tourist and was recommended by family/friends for their poi glaze donuts. Did not disappoint, you taste the poi and it wasn’t overly sweet. $1.50/donut. Also grabbed a haupia malasada. So many great items looks like they are worth a grab. Will stop by again when we’re back on the island. Parking lot wise, can be pretty busy as a fully plaza. Was able to find parking right away but definitely a place where 90% of the parking lot can be full.
I traveled to Hawaii from Japan for a vacation. While famous places like Leonard’s are great for malasadas, the local flavors here are also simple and delicious!! They offer a wide variety of breads, so you can enjoy many different kinds. Even after some time has passed, the bread stays soft, making it perfect for travelers to take along as a snack.
Glazed doughnut with chocolate center was awesome. Doughnut was fresh and soft. The chocolate was ono, one of the best I’ve had. (Seemed like a little hint of coffee, but maybe my imagination…) Malasada was good, but not hot and crispy like when you get it fresh from the truck. Haven’t tried the other doughnuts yet so will provide update soon.
