Working with Jennifer in the Chesapeake Design Center was a great experience. She was very organized/professional and patience with us as we selected all of our finishes for the new home. Her knowledge and details of the product was also very helpful with our selections. Even though this is not a custom home build the process and ability to make selections with in our new home make it feel that way. Thank you, Ken

Honestly, my wife and I weren’t sure what to expect going in. We thought it might be a high-pressure situation with a lot of upselling toward the most expensive options. We couldn’t have been more wrong. Jennifer really took the time to understand what we liked and how we wanted our home to look and feel. She focused on options that fit our style instead of pushing upgrades we didn’t need. The whole experience felt relaxed and genuinely tailored to us, which made it really enjoyable. We’d absolutely recommend Jennifer and the entire design center team to anyone we know.

Stopped by Chesapeake Homes the Willows in April 2025. We were so impressed with the quality of the homes under construction. I've been involved in building for over 30 years and did not see anything I did not like. What sealed it for us was meeting Emily in the sales office. She walked us through the model home and explained how Chesapeake works. It took us six months to sell our home before we could move forward. During that time we made many trips to the complex and spoke to Emily quite a bit. The few times she was not there we met with Sam who helped us and did a great job. Both always had time for us and always answered our questions. When it came time to sign the contract Emily was so helpful and patient with us. Next we met with Jennifer at the design center for our interior selections where she went over all the options and the costs. During the process we never felt pressured to purchase anything we didn't want. We are enjoying watching construction move along.

We had the Extreme Pleasure of working with Susan Barker. From the moment we met with her she greeted us with an Energetic Smile and Handshake! It was really fun working with her throughout the whole process!! We had sneak peaks at all the models at Coastal Club in Calabash so we kinda knew what we wanted. Being in the Design Center was like being a Kid in a Candy Store!! I wanted Everything!!LOL! It is set up so Beautifully and it was Great Fun putting it All together!! Susan is Amazing! She guided us through the process and Honestly Answered all my Concerns! She met my challenging questions with Knowledge and Confidence. Shes really a Team Player and definitely an Asset to that Office!! I had a Small Change and it was no problem at All for Her!! I Felt very Happy when we left after having a sleepless night worrying about my decisions!! She Smiled Continuously at everything I presented to Her!! We Finished and Couldn't be Happier!! We parted ways with a Handshake and a Warm Hug!! We Truly are Blessed to have gotten to work with Her! I feel like we made a Great Friendship!! My husband and I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Jennifer Carter at the Chesapeake Homes Design Center in Myrtle Beach. She went above and beyond to help us design what will likely be our last home. On more than one occasion, she surpassed our expectations - from scheduling our appointments, special design questions, and making sure everything is perfect. Since we are out of state, Jennifer was able to set up our meetings on 3 consecutive days right before the Memorial Day weekend. She had to work some magic to make that happen because our contract took some time to finalize, so we were up against a fast approaching deadline and limited availability. Everyone else at the Design Center left way early that Friday, except Jennifer. She was there all by herself. Just us. She was super sweet and never rushed us. Our list of upgrades was crazy long and took forever to write up. She never made us feel like we were a bother. I’m sure that was really hard to do. We have purchased multiple new construction homes, so we are somewhat familiar with how the process works with a few home builders. Without a doubt, Jennifer is a star! It’s not even close. For some odd reason, we had 2 things that she had never been asked before. Coloradoans! She was able to get the information from corporate to ensure they could be done, and the way we were expecting. After we made it back home, Jennifer reached out to let us know that there was something we may not have realized with our crazy long list of design choices. We were so impressed with her taking the time to be sure we understood the consequences of this specific choice, and she gave us the option to change it. Like I said - a STAR! What I have neglected to mention is all the back and forth on lots of things that we were unsure of. Our electrical plan was mostly red. Lol. We definitely struggled at times with decisions. Jennifer guided us through some unexpected choices and was so patient, when, I am sure, she was pretty tired of all the questions. How she made it through the process without showing any frustration? Not sure. I couldn’t do it. She’s a professional with amazing customer service skills. We truly can’t thank her enough for her kindness, diligence, and impressive design expertise. We are so excited!
